Recently, Southern Weekly announced the winners of "2010 Corporate Social Responsibility of Domestic Enterprises" at the 2010 Third Annual "Overall Ranking of Listed State-owned Enterprises by Corporate Social Responsibility" under the theme of “Philanthropy and Social Responsibility ". ICBC ranked second place in the ranking and No. 1 among the domestic banks. This is the third year that ICBC has been included in the ranking. In the "2010 Overall Ranking of Listed Stated-Owned Enterprises by Public Image" and "2010 Overall Ranking of Listed Stated-Owned Enterprises by Economic Responsibility"，ICBC was listed at No.1 and No. 3 respectively.

"2010 Corporate Social Responsibility of Domestic Enterprises" was organized by Southern Weekly in collaboration with the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU), the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), Center for Transnationals' Studies of Nankai University, School of Management of Fudan University. The ranking was drawn from listed stated-owned enterprises with standard management, financial transparency and main business not less than RMB 10 billion in 2009. They were measured against seven metrics of "business responsibility", "product and service", "environmental protection", "labor rights protection", "charity", "information disclosure" and "public image". The aim is to stress the role played by state-owned enterprises in maintaining social stability being closely related to the national economy, the social dimension of " Philanthropy and Social Responsibility " of the Chinese state-owned listed enterprises, and draw the public concern to their efforts in social responsibility.

In recent years ICBC has been moving business growth and social responsibility in parallel, focusing on industry restructuring and change in economic growth pattern. The Bank has played significant role in supporting sustainable economic growth of national economy, social progress and people's livelihood improvement. ICBC holding top ranking for three consecutive years bears testimony to the high recognition from all on ICBC's years of efforts in steady operation, innovation and public charity.
